PRADEEP: One coping strategy that I use pretty commonly is journaling. So whenever I get anxious, my brain starts to engage with a lot of negative emotions. And it starts to race ahead. And it starts running very fast. so And sometimes, when it does that, I get into this loop of anxiety and procrastination and more anxiety, which is not very helpful.
And so I try to resort to journaling to break this loop. Whenever I realize I’m becoming anxious, I try to sit down and write. And the process of writing slows down my mind. I’m able to both identify what is the emotion that I’m feeling so that I can acknowledge and accept that going forward and also try and brainstorm and think about, what are the next steps I could be taking to address the problem that I’m facing?
